Outside The Bachs, a growth accelerator for music studios, is thrilled to offer scholarship support to recent graduates looking to build the own private music lesson studio.
Scholarships provide access to Outside The Bachs: Solo, a program designed to provide individual private lesson teachers with the core knowledge and resources necessary to fast studio growth. Outside The Bachs: Solo is ideal for musicians who prefer to work at self-directed pace as they build their studio business.
Who can apply? Musicians interested in starting their own private music lesson studio. This scholarship offer is only available to musicians who are currently enrolled in a college, university, or conservatory degree or certificate program, or who have graduated in the past 6 months.
What can I expect? Scholarships between $50-$250 to help cover partial tuition for Outside The Bachs: Solo (including all provided training, resources, and Meetup calls), plus access to the Duet Partner studio management system for 50% off for one full year.
How do I start?

3. Additional information, including transcripts, may be requested to determine eligibility
4. We will email you back with a decision about any scholarship offers, up to $250

It’s been quite the hectic process moving out-of-state. I had a few private students drop since I was moving, so I was left with 3 online students after arriving in Texas. I have LOTS of wins to post! I made my largest ever instrument sale last week! Which has resulted in another instrument on consignment to sell! I’m fully booked for my preschool lesson slots at this point. I’ve interviewed another teacher, and if all goes well I will hire her and already have 2 trials booked for her. Yesterday I received a website contact form submission from a potential adult student in my area that found me solely just by her doing research looking for teachers in her area. This is the first lead like this I have received! We are setting up a consultation for next week.
Had a new student sign up for lessons today, and the parents chose to prepay for six months of lessons with no qualms about my new summer lesson policy (I've been rehearsing the conversation about summer tuition not being adjusted for absences).
Just had my first two consults and both students are signing up on a monthly flat rate! I'm so excited. One is a young student and the other is a professional actor who found me on Instagram.
